Mynders Glover, Co-founder, Hilltop Villas, SA 

Mynders has been a real estate investor/developer for 27 years.  He began investing in duplex rental homes in Charlottesville, VA in 1978 and his career has covered the range from single family home rehab and rentals…to developing raw land…to subdivision development.

In the mid 1990’s Mynders started Arizona Home Buyers, LLC with a partner in Phoenix, AZ for the purpose of buying and rehabbing single family homes…either to hold as rentals or sell for a profit. Over the first 18 month period alone, 16 houses were purchased.

In recent years, Mynders has combined with Sueño del Sur partner Johann Robbins on the purchase and management of a 17 unit apartment complex, a mixed use residential/commercial complex in Durango, Colorado, as well as land development in Florida.

After several years of searching for the perfect Central America site to do an International project, Johann and Mynders created the vision for Sueño del Sur, a condominium hotel on a hilltop in the center of the bay of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.

In addition to Sueño del Sur, Mynders is a partner in a very successful 45 unit single family home development in a heavily-wooded area of Durango, Colorado, known as Copperhead Camp which creatively combines an old mining camp feel with modern living.  Currently, Mynders and his Copperhead partner are in negotiation with the Master Developer of a large New Urbanism project in Durango to design and build the multi-family residences for the development.

Mynders is originally from New Orleans, but was educated in Virginia, where he received his MBA from the University of Virginia. In his early career, Mynders practiced as a CPA with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.… one of the “Big 8” accounting firms.

In addition to real estate investing, Mynders’ entrepreneurial focus saw him starting several successful Business Brokerage firms, which he sold at a profit. He also formed Atlanta-based Management Impact Systems, a management consulting and training firm attracting such clients as Home Depot and Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Mynders’ combination of real estate, financial, and business experience lends a strong foundation to the Sueño del Sur project for the necessary components of ongoing negotiations, hiring and working with top professionals for each aspect of the project, creating and analyzing complex financial projections, and steering the marketing focus.
